Choices

Choices is TOPCATS accredited day service provision.

Supporting young people who are 16+ and are either in higher education, college or have left school completely.
We have recently signed up to a new scheme with AQA to deliver bespoke structured activities. There are many, many different subjects to choose from, including Independent Living skills, Social Interaction, Leisure, Music therapy and all-important Real Working Environment opportunities (work experience). Choices offers flexible choice and structured activities.
Our unique approach is designed around a person centred activity programme for each individual to promote independence.

Ages 5+

Afternoon Club

After a long day at school, college or work, our emphasis at afternoon club is on relaxing and spending time with friends. Afternoon Club has always been a great opportunity to wind down after a busy day and socially interact with friends.

Our Lead Staff plan a range of activities that the Young People can get involved with alongside their peers including; sensory play activities, arts and crafts, baking and games. The Young People also partake in themed sessions, such as ‘The Masked Singer’ and ‘Gladiators’!

We have our specialised equipment available for use during these sessions; soft play, sensory room and our fun-filled outdoor space (when the British weather is on our side!)

Ages 0-5

Tiny TOPCATS

Tiny TOPCATS is a parent led group held on a Wednesday afternoon 1.15pm – 2.15pm (Term Time only), for children with additional needs aged 0-5yrs.

Parents/Carers can chat over a cuppa while the children access TOPCATS facilities including Our Ball Pit, Soft Play, Indoor Swing and Sensory Room.

There are different sensory activities each week – water play, sand play, painting!

Ages 5-12

Cats

Our CATS programme offers a fun and specialised sensory programme for some of our youngest members of TOPCATS. It is run by a Lead Support Worker who plans lots of different and exciting activities. The children that attend the sessions are encouraged to build on their social skills, develop friendships and have lots of fun!! 

Cats sessions are offered every other Saturday morning (term time only).

Age 5 – 8yrs only can attend from 10am – 12pm & 9 – 12yrs can attend from 9am – 12pm

Ages 12-17

GAP

Our GAP programme is our ‘Youth Club’ Saturday group for Young People aged 12 – 17yrs old with lower level support needs. This group is dedicated to encouraging and developing positive friendships and social skills to help throughout those ‘teen’ years.

Activities at GAP are driven by the Young People who attend and based on what they enjoy.

GAPs sessions are offered every other Saturday. (term time only).

Ages 18+

Transitions

Our TRANSITIONS group offers our young adults the chance to socialise and access the local community with friends.

The Young People are involved with planning each term of sessions altogether as a group, choosing activities and trips they all enjoy.

Previous trips have included the cinema, museums, bowling, trips to Southwold, Beccles and not forgetting a social at the pub.

Disco Nights!

TOPCATS ‘Disco Nights’ are open to all! Themed evenings will include Disco, Karaoke, Bingo Beats and much more!

These nights run at least once a month on Friday’s at 6-8pm, term time only. Each ‘Disco Night’ is advertised individually on Facebook. Keep a look out on Facebook for special events that take place during Holidays!
